excerpt:

"What a lovely day," said the mole sisters.
Until it started to rain.
"Never mind," they said.
"It won't last."
But it did. . . .
Down their hole they went.

image Roslyn Schwartz has created two delightful characters, the mole sisters, and has illustrated them with coloured pencils in these two small, sturdy books. She writes of everyday adventures to which children will easily relate. The books are just the right size for small hands to hold. Every page has a coloured illustration with a single sentence below it. Although the drawings are simple, the moles radiate happiness and fun whether they are jumping in puddles or rolling down a steep mossy bank.

Highly Recommended.
