image This is a second book by Deborah Lea Mott about the Wide Mouth Frog. In this story, The Wide Mouth Frog Goes Shopping, another moral is illustrated. The little frog has been told by his mother to stay right by her side when they go into the mall. However, he thinks it's great fun to hide from his mother, and he does this a couple of times before he gets into real trouble.

The illustrations are great, the print is clear, and the tale will interest young children. I just wish this talented author/illustrator could have her books published in a more durable format so that they would survive the rigors of school libraries.

Recommended with reservations.
