internal artPlease. Sorry. Thank you. We teach our children to say these words; however, more often than not we fail to relay their deeply profound meanings. Angèle Delaunois, author of Magic Little Words, tackles the challenge with poetic depictions.

Rest in peace

For eyes that have closed forever.

internal art     Two lovable characters illustrate the beautifully crafted line associated with each word or phrase. Delaunois connects the abstract text to everyday occurrences to which children can easily relate. Manon Gauthier’s use of paper scrap collages strengthens this aspect of relatability because it’s as if the reader created each one with her own two hands.

internal art     This whimsical book will be read and reread until each phrase and its meaning is taken to heart, thereby making Magic Little Words a great gift for any young child.

Highly Recommended.
