excerpt:

In the last few days, so much had changed. Her friendless, luckless summer had transformed into one filled with enchantment and excitement. Just days ago, she hadn’t been certain magic existed. Now she knew it did. It was her bad luck she didn’t believe in anymore.

The main character, a young lady named Clover, takes the reader along with her on a magical journey as she discovers her own strengths and overcomes a mindset which she has held her whole life. The interesting characters which she encounters after she enters the Woods, a place where she has never been before, bring both light and darkness into Clover’s life. A witch… Sir Wickity, a fortune teller, and a young wizard all put Clover to the test. While Mr. Jams has entrusted her with the running of the Magical Animal Adoption Agency (M.A.A.A.) while he is off on an animal rescue, Clover is not always sure that she is up to the task. Nevertheless, she follows her heart and eventually trusts her instincts to ensure that each animal finds its forever home.

Clover’s Luck will be enjoyed by many children, especially those who enjoy a little fantasy and magic in their lives. They will be anxiously awaiting the next title in the series to find out what’s new with the agency’s fairy horses, how Esmeralda/Flit has settled in and whether any more Dragon’s are living at the M.A.A.A. The occasional illustrations by Boiger help paint a picture in the mind of the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and my daughters are both anxiously awaiting their turn.

Highly Recommended.
