excerpt:

Once there was once a bear, a moose and a beaver who were the best of friends, though they often disagreed.

One sunny day, the bear, the moose and the beaver decided to go canoeing.

Nicholas Oldland is the author of three other books about Beaver, Moose and Bear, the deliciously delightful trio consisting of Big Bear Hug, Making the Moose Out of Life and The Busy Beaver. As always, his whimsical illustrations will enthral young readers.

internal art      In this enchanting tale, the three friends decide to go on a canoe trip. But, oh, oh, oh, these three good friends just could not agree on anything at all! It was a recipe for a troubled and dangerous trip. Who should steer? Who should paddle on the left or right? Eventually, they got going, but soon it was, "Stop Splashing, Keep Paddling and I'm Hungry."

When disaster struck and the canoe tipped over, they still couldn't work together. After a good night's sleep, they realized that working together was the only way to get home safely, and they did.

It was another good life lesson learned by the three friends. Friendship means sharing and compromise, and when we do that, things will work out for the best.

Highly Recommended.
