excerpt:

One day, the sheep had an idea and ran to see the wolf. “I have to talk to you!” she shouted.

He stopped what he was doing and listened.

“Let’s build a flying machine!”

“Do you think it’s that simple?! You spend too much time watching the birds in the sky,” said the wolf, shaking his head.

This picture book story is about a sheep who dreams of flying. She approaches her friend, the wolf, with her idea. They try to build a flying machine out of fabric, out of balloons, before finally succeeding in making one out of paper in the shape of a dragon.

internal art     Although the premise is interesting - a sheep and wolf being friends and only those who dream can fly - the story is limited in its interest for younger children. The plot has no spark; the illustrations are subdued, being all in sepia tones and looking like wallpaper or pages of scientific formulas.

Not Recommended.
