excerpt:

Baa, baa pink sheep,
have you any wool?
No sir, no sir,
None at all.

Baa, Baa Black Sheep and Baa, Baa Pink Sheep begins with the original version of the rhyme Baa, Baa, Black Sheep told over several pages. Each page contains only one or two lines. Then the whole rhyme is repeated on a single page. This approach makes it easier for the young reader to recognize the rhyming words. This pattern is repeated for the second rhyme, Baa, Baa Pink Sheep, with the first few pages containing one or two lines, and then the whole rhyme is repeated on a single page. At the end of each rhyme, there are activities, such as finding the rhyming words or find the items made of wool.

Baa, Baa Black Sheep is the original rhyme we all learned as children. It is followed by the Baa, Baa Pink Sheep which is a twist on the original version about a poor little naked pink sheep who has no wool. The large font makes is easier for beginning readers to focus on and recognize the words. O’Kif is the illustrator, and he does a wonderful job of making the pictures stand out. The book has full page illustrations.

A delightful book that is sure to be enjoyed by all.

Highly Recommended.
