excerpt:

I'll love you with giggles

I'll love you with tears

I'll love you with kisses

And calm all your fears.

I really enjoyed this book!! If anyone wants a perfect gift for about-to-be parents, get The Ways I Will Love You.

Rachel Boehm writes about all the different ways parents love their children. She was involved in an early childhood development project in Nova Scotia, and it was the springboard for her to write The Ways I Will Love You. This 24 page book is a sturdy board book which is perfect for little hands to hold. The story is written with rhyming verses which are perfect to lull little ones to sleep. Reading to children helps them develop vital language skills. Additionally, reading to your infant can have profound effects on her/his emotional and developmental growth. As a parent of two small children, I will read The Ways I Will Love You over and over to my children. My three-year-old and newborn both enjoyed listening to this book. I feel children need to hear that they are loved, and this book's contents are an excellent way to tell your children you love them. The book is illustrated with bright photographs which will capture children's attention. The pictures complement the text well, and my daughter enjoyed looking for the dog which appears on almost every page.

internal artI would highly recommend this book to all new parents.

Highly Recommended.

Karen Higginbottom, a mother of two small children and a preschool teacher, lives in Guelph, ON, and is currently on maternity leave.
