This short film traces the journey of a lone triathelete, Tim Sellars, who trains in Canada's boreal mountains. The only sound is the instrumental music that accompanies his trek. Once Sellars gets to the top of the mountain, he opens a large case that he has lugged with him. He proceeds to remove his cello and begins to play the instrument on the mountain top.

     Adrenaline Bach is suited for a special audience. I would suggest it could be motivational for music students or athletes or it could be used for a short silent meditation. Metaphors within the film could generate student discussion about goals and overcoming obstacles. Perhaps this could develop useful vocabulary and concepts that would integrate into creative writing as well.

      I shared this DVD with two young adults, both musicians, and one who is a strong athlete; however, neither was impressed with what they saw in the film.
