Twins Lucy and Oliver try to earn money by helping people out. They mind a plant, a cat, a puppy and even an elderly woman. They enjoy the work so much that they decide to give each of their charges a special treat. They bake cookies and share them with the plant, fish, cat, puppy and woman. To their surprise, the magic cookies cause each animal to produce offspring. E ven the elderly woman has a surprise for them.

This cheerful picture-book will please young readers. The pictures are lively, although undistinguished, and the text is appealing.
