This is another full-colour selection. The story is of two owlets who take their first hesitant steps out of the nest. Mother owl watches as the first baby falls to the ground, noting that it is not hurt. It finally climbs back up the trunk to the limb on which sits its mother. The second owlet falls only a short distance onto another limb and soon regains the same branch. At this point father returns with food for his family.

Again, the tale is not threatening to the reader. The colour illustrations are delightful and quite suited to the story. The author and the illustrator make this series easy to recommend.
