The first in a new series called "The Under Cover Book and Light" is an imaginative book called Ghosts and Other Scary Stories. This delightful book tells nine ghostly-scary stories with both male and female protagonists in the eight-to-twelve age group.

Its presentation is equally imaginative. Packaged in a bubble-pack complete with its own Under The Cover reading light, it is the perfect companion for the campfire and sleepovers. The only thing missing are two AA batteries, and you are off on several spooky adventures. The book is well written and illustrated; your attention is held from start to finish.

While the light or actually the lack thereof will diminish its library uses, the book and I suspect the series will delight any child as a special gift.

Recommended.
