In Simon and His Boxes, Tibo once again delights us with his trademark dreamy air brush paintings. Simon finds an assortment of boxes in I forest, and tries to make homes for all his furry, feathered (and even wet) friends. Bi the creatures of the woods and streams are interested in the cardboard dwellings, and Simon comes to the realization that wild things are best left to their own devices in choosing their natural homes. Resourceful he finds another, more environmental use for the boxes. With a theme similar to the seasonal "Simon" series, Simon dreams of a goal that very difficult to reach, and when it doesn't materialize, he must look at other options. I like this message for children, with their dreams - instead of seeing failure when an idea or plan doesn't flower, find a way to turn it into something more attainable. Often a changed, possibly more real, dream can be every bit as satisfying! I recommend this lovely little book for the younger listening crowd.
