Using tested formulas of well-written and humorous text combined with illustrations that reinforce the text, Kids Can Press takes on circles. This time it is Catherine Ross and Bill Slavin who team up. Starting with the simple circle, Ross takes us on a whirlwind tour around the world and through history. We learn just about everything there is to know about circles, from pi to discs, from cones to spheres. This is the kind of book we have come to expect from Kids Can Press. There are information, stories and, best of all, experiments to try. It is fun and informative at the same time. This is a book that I would recommend for all inquisitive young minds. Readers should note that the word "Disc" is misspelled on page 54. This book, intended for grades 4 to 8, is highly recommended for purchase by all libraries.
