The elegant cat is hosting a very special tea party, one that would rival the Mad Hatter's. When the clock strikes one the mayhem begins. Fresh disasters strike with every hour as uninvited visitors arrive, setting off a series of alarming mishaps.

The lush detail and magical realism of Suzanne Duranceau's illustrations fill this expansion on the old nursery rhyme with energy and chaos. A highly acclaimed illustrator, Duranceau has won numerous awards in Canada and the U.S.

Robin Muller has related this old tale in a fresh and modern style. Young readers will love to wrap their tongues around such nonsense as "Tumberly, bumberly, boo. The wolf fell into the glue." Muller is a master story-teller, acclaimed artist and recent winner of the Governor General's Literary Award for The Magic Paintbrush1.

This delightful book is highly recommended.
