Zoom In is a common-sense guide to putting together a slide show. It is not a technical book about photography, but rather a guide to the selection of slides and the presentation of your work.

The authors discuss ways that slides might be arranged to keep the audience's attention, the pros and cons of taping the narration, the process of preparing the slides for the carousel, the preparation of the script, and do's and don'ts to observe during the presentation.

Hints are included on how to combine the taking of slides with your vacation, including the wise advice that "if a situation is frightening, shoot first and leave (or leave first, before getting shot)."

Much of the information in this booklet is plain common sense; however, not all the information is straightforward. On page 13 we are told that slides should be on the screen for less than 10 seconds or they will fry, while on page 16 we are told that "slides begin to fade after less than 10 minutes total projection time." In this case the guide seems contradictory. A bibliography is included.
