THE MOTHER TONGUE
Percy, H.R.
Reviewed by Michele F. Kallio
Volume 20 Number 4
A collection of brief essays on a variety of youthful and seasonal topics written mainly about the author's memories of the past. The essays are well formed and complete, but would be uninteresting to many readers. Not recommended, except perhaps as a model of what a grammatically correct essay looks like. Younger readers will find it unappealing.
Michele F. Kallio is a former teacher-librarian in Black's Habour, New Brunswick.
