If you've read her Dead Pull Hitter and Safe At Home you'll enjoy this just as much. Sunland, Florida (read Dunedin), is the Titans (read Blue Jays) spring training camp. A local reporter and nymphomaniac for baseball players is murdered and the local "in the heat of the night" southern sheriff locks up one of the paramours, a player from the Dominican Republic (sound familiar?). Kate Henry sets out to clear this innocent player in her inimitable style. There are many stereotypical characters you'll recognize and love to hate as you try to guess which is guilty. You'll fit right into this fun read as you bump into many characters you know you've met in real life. This novel is for a mature reader purely because of the natural, in-character language, which may not have the approval of the parents of those readers under sixteen years of age.
