OWL's colourful production of a popular birthday book with an attractive format will definitely appeal to young readers. Its inclusion of stickers to mark the birthdays of family and friends will prove enticing to children. The concept of a birthday book also encourages children to anticipate the important occasion of a birthday of someone special and adds excitement to the various months of the year.

The OWL Birthday Book also includes monthly ideas for making greeting cards. Children can not only have the enjoyment of making their own birthday cards, but their finished products will have that "personal touch" that expensive commercial cards often lack.

The full-page illustrations by author-illustrator Debi Perna that accompany each month's sticker page trace five friends celebrating the changing seasons. A list of birth stones, birth flowers, birthday rhymes and puzzles as well as four pages of colourful stickers is included.

The Birthday Book will not only provide year-long fun and anticipation for a child, but will also become a treasured keepsake.
