When The Hungry Lizards fight it out with the Mongrel Dogs in the Battle of the Bands for the right to play at the Dungeon for eight months, four nights a week, some ominous things happen to sixteen-year-old Jeremy, the lead guitarist. His dreams of making music are overshadowed by the realty of working in the entertainment business. He finds he cannot handle the demands of school work, and his relationship with his family is jeopardized by his new night life. He also finds he must deal with his feelings for eighteen-year-old Suzanne Lefebvre, whom he meets at the Dungeon.

Like Skateboard Shakedown ¹, Lesley Choyce's earlier book, this action-packed book will appeal to a variety of readers. Anyone who has ever played in a band or ever dreamed of receiving a record contract will appreciate Jeremy's love of music and will sympathize with his desire to overcome his problems as he learns to succeed in an adult world.
