The two fifteen-minute stories on this video cassette comprise the third part in a series of five well-designed programs or young children. All the programs involve Holly the artist, Iggy Iguana, Jacob Bluejay and Gloria Gopher, who live together and find co-operative ways in which to solve problems.

In Under the Stairs, Iggy's overactive imagination makes him afraid to go down into the cellar because of the monster under the stairs. His very real fears are dealt with in a gentle, supportive manner by his friends. In Recycling, Holly teaches Iggy, Jacob and Gloria about the importance of recycling, composting and re-using materials.

These imaginatively presented stories will captivate young children with both the characters and their message. The pace, humour and interest level are appropriate to the intended audience, and the concepts are well explained. The colour values, sound quality and photography are excellent. As a stimulus to learn social skills, to develop language and to help children learn more about their world, this program is highly recommended.
