Volume 18 Number 3 1990 May This book is an anthology of art and text published for children by Tundra Books over the past twenty years. Its theme, "children of many backgrounds growing up in many parts of Canada," makes this a useful book for junior high students studying prejudice and the ethnic diversity of Canada. It is also an excellent introduction to a variety of artists who do work appealing to children. The text includes stories of children of Jewish, Québecois, black, Chinese and Japanese backgrounds, among others. While the artwork should be enjoyed by both adults and children of all ages, most of the text will likely be enjoyed much more by adults than by children.
