This is a book to write in, a book full of activities, puzzles, and information. It is a book to own.

With this book children will be able to plan summer activities using the calendars for July and August at the beginning of the book.

There are pages for lists of friends, outings, favourites (foods, sports, places, etc.), information about taking photographs, and pages for a photo album. There is a treasure hunt and information about collecting wildflowers and making a treasure box. Among the many more other features are a sports quiz and a bicycle olympics with information on safe riding.

The owner of this book should be able to read well. A large variety of type-faces have been used. These make interesting patterns on the page, but beginning readers would need help in figuring out some of the text, which is black-and-white as are the illustrations.

The fortunate owner of this book who takes advantage of the activities, both mental and physical, will have an adventurous and busy summer; My Summer Book will become a treasured possession.
