Dinosaurs is the third in a new series of sticker books from Scholastic-TAB. It includes two pages of full-solour stickers. The reader affixes each numbered sticker to the corresponding page describing a particular dinosaur. The result is a colourfully illustrated and informative book. It is also available in French.

Not only will the stickers appeal to the children but the subject, dinosaurs, will, too. Dinosaurs provides the reader with information on a varied selection of thirty dinosaurs. The book is arranged in alphabetical order from Albertosaurus to Tyrannosaurus. Heights and weights are given in metric measurements.

Besides classifications, name explanations and pronunciations and descriptions, the author gives interesting facts pertaining to specific dinosaurs. The latter adds variety to the text and increases the interest level for the young reader. Another feature of this book is the "extra" information on the general topic of prehistoric life and dinosaurs found in a box at the bottom of each page. These brief facts supplement the overall topic of the book and could possibly serve as focal points for futher reading on the subject.

The text on each page is relatively short, usually two or three paragraphs, and attractively spaced. The vocabulary tends to be at an upper grade 2 to a grade 3 level. However, the appeal of the subject matter and the overall presentation of the book make if appropriate for younger readers as well. Unfortunately, there is neither an index nor a table of contents, which would b euseful for research projects. Dinosaurs would make a welcome addition to a child's personal or a classroom library.
