In the process, vocabulary for foods and clothesmaking is developed. Daily routines are also presented. The sentence structure is simple, using present tense throughout, but vocabulary is precise and style, idiomatic. Thus Core French students would find this challenging material. However, the commentary is short, and the drawings are soft-toned and pleasing. With a little preparation Core students could probably handle the text.
