Comic-strip figures and voices intrude on to photos, a Disney touch. Since the subject matter is already interesting and varied, the purpose of this intrusion is unclear. The visuals are familiar and are generally high resolution. The manual is a complete teacher's guide, with the whole menu and time frame carefully laid out. The text of the narration and the sheet music for the songs are included. Even though the components are a few years old (the filmstrips were produced in 1982), the information is useful and up to date. Concepts are simply stated, in spite of the put-on voices.
