Now that the Parker inquiry has reported on the 'guilt' of Sinclair Stevens, this book loses some of its immediacy. In view of the "footnote" potential of Mr. Stevens in the history of this decade, the value of this book in a high school library is somewhat limited unless it is used as a text in the study of conflicts of interest, Bay Street networking, or the power of the media to make or destroy people in public service or in any other capacity, for that matter. To quote the author: "the media who wrote and broadcast many of the original allegations must stand as uninvited co-conspirators."

The book is written in a manner quite readable for an average high school student.
