Children across Canada were asked to express in paintings, drawings, poems and essays their answers to the question "What would you do to put the World right?" These collective efforts form the material for this book: all proceeds from sales will be donated to the Wicks' Charity, Gobal Ed/Med Supplies, for the establishment and stocking of medical clinics in developing countries. Many companies and individuals donated to the publishing. From the many thousands of entries received, four hundred were selected by a volunteer panel of Canadians.

The contributions are grouped under the six major headings listed in the table of contents: War, Pollution, Drugs and Alcohol, Universal Problems and Everyday Concerns, Hunger, Peace and Hope, All entires are identified by the child's name, age or grade, and location.

This is a high-quality production, with good paper, fine reproductions, and attractive lay-out. The labelling on some of the drawings is too small to read.

The length and quality of the individual selections vary greatly, as the authors range from Grade 1 to Grade 7. The Acknowledgements state that a special panel of eleven permanent Canadians, including authors, artists and journalists, had selected thirty entries as most representative of the hopes and concerns experienced by children, but these thirty are not labelled or identified in any way.

The book can be used for general browsing in language, arts and social studies.
