This is an excellent survey. Using historic visuals for background and to illustrate quoted extracts throughout, it covers the origins, development, and maturing of our literary heritage. It is fascinating to sec what our famous writers look like, the sellings and experience that inspired them and are reflected in their work. The visuals are crisp and constitute a visual record of our history and development too. Altogether a useful artistic learning experience. Highly recommended.
