The Cross Cultural Communication Centre, an independent non-profit organization, deserves accolades for its work in the multicultural Metropolitan Toronto community, and indeed much farther afield. They have been producing educational resources since 1971 to enable people to understand the various factors that lead to racism and immigrant problems, and to use the understanding gained to positively combat problems in the workplace, school, and community.

Enid Lee is herself an educator, working with teachers in various settings, sharing their concerns, and helping them arrive at ways of combatting realized problems. This series of four letters to a leacher uses a case study context to address situations that she has met in workshops, faculty of education classes, and classroom visits. Each letter offers an analysis and suggested strategy for coping with the particular situation. Included in the chapter are staff development suggestions, interdisciplinary classroom activities, and a resource list. Altogether, they address the needs of the community, students, classroom teachers, guidance counsellors, administrators, and those who provide support services. It concludes with Marcia's reply, offering further suggestions. Letters to Marcia is an excellent resource for Canadian elementary and secondary teachers. I hope Lee will write a follow-up volume, as Marcia's letter appears to indicate.
