Well-known Canadian performers, Sharon, Lois and Bram, have added one more feather to their caps with their new Mother Goose book. The book is a collection of songs, nursery rhymes, poems, verses, and games that will be enjoyed by parents and young children together. Sharon, Lois and Bram's affinity for children is apparent in this well-selected collection. They have chosen nursery songs and rhymes that will appeal to children. It is full of activities and songs that are fun, and ones that children will want to do again and again.

Maryann Kovalski's illustrations trace the daily activities of a family from waking to bedtime. The original and humorous illustrations enhance the book and give it the added touch that will make it a greater success. Kovalski's illustrations have movement. She has been able through her illustrations to convey the closeness of the family.

Many of the songs have easy piano arrangements suitable for intermediate players. Some songs are accompanied by melodies and guitar chords. Directions for rhymes and games are clearly illustrated. Parents and child care workers who are in search of activities to do with young children should have a copy of this book on hand. Public and school libraries should purchase several copies. It should prove to be popular.
