The various types of transportation used in Canada from early times to the beginning of the 1900s are shown using black-and-white photographs. The many kinds of transport shown doing their work include: canoes, sailboats, steamers, dog carts, oxen carts, dog sleds, stage coaches, buggies, trucks, and trains. The emphasis is on how these early modes of transportation helped people move goods across Canada. Recommended.
