How seeping ground water forms underground caves is demonstrated in this presentation. General types of underground formations are illustrated: stalactites, stalagmites, dripstones, flow-stones, lielictites, and columns. Animals found in caves are shown as well as cave art and cave dwellings. The quality of the visuals is good, but more information could have been provided. The eerie music on the cassette is poorly done. Caves could be used as an introduction to the topic leading to more detailed study from reference books, films, and other non-print materials. Recommended.
