Volume 13 Number 1
1985 January

This series attempts to provide an overview of the Micmac's life-style, interaction with the environment, family/social life, propagation of culture and traditions and level of technological development. The Micmac occupied the coastal areas of the Gaspe, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia at the time of the first European contact. Well conceived and technically well done, The Micmac can serve to enhance a unit of study on Canadian native peoples. The teacher's guide sets out the objectives, a summary of each segment, the script, and some suggested questions for further discussion and study. Highly recommended.
