As a CBC commentator and interviewer, Zolf observed Trudeau's political career in detail. Zolf spotlights and seeks to explain the multi-faceted style and personality that fascinates and puzzles admirers and opponents.

These irreverent recollections, with a pun in almost every sentence and an abundance of mixed and unmixed metaphors, reveal admiration, even reverence for the subject. We see Trudeau as "lone gunslinger," "a man who brilliantly massaged and manipulated others so that his single will appeared to be the will of many, so that his will be always done." Here is charisma as "the politics of sex," Trudeau's "pervasive ignorance of English Canada," his "special brand of socialism," "philo-Semitism," and ultimately, "Trudeau the Irreplaceable." Numerous photographs, captioned Zolf-style, expand the text.

This very personal "remembering" could spark some wide-ranging debates.
