In this kids' book, giants are jolly and helpful. How these huge creatures live on clouds and don't fall out through the bottom is just part of a very enjoyable fantasy sure to stimulate the imagination of youngsters.

Christopher couldn't sleep one night and wished he could have a dream, as well as the answer to why the moon changes shape. Climbing into his closet elevator, he went to visit his friend the giant, who lived on a cloud with many friends. Christopher gets help but it requires a trip in cloud ships to the cave of the Dream Dragon. The dragon sleeps on a big pile of bright new pennies, each penny containing a dream. The giants and Christopher awaken the gentle-looking dragon who then immediately flies off to do his monthly chore, that of taking bites out of the moon. For their reward, Christopher and the giants receive a bright new penny.

This is Allen Morgan's second book about Christopher. He and illustrator Brenda Clark have combined to create a very enjoyable book that children will want read to them or will read themselves many times over.
