The book begins with a very brief three-page historical introduction to Toronto. Comments are made regarding the multicultural mix, the importance of Toronto's transportation network, and its cultural diversity. The remainder of the book consists of fifty-two excellent colour photographs; four of which are double paged. Thirty-nine of these photos are of buildings within the Metropolitan area. Six of the photographs include people. Whether by accident or on purpose, the people that make Toronto great are basically excluded. Most of the photos are a full page in size and all are captioned. The cover is attractive. Rights to reproduce the photos can be obtained.

The overall effect is pleasant, and the architectural diversity of Toronto's buildings is shown.
