Volume 12 Number 3 1984 May This fluent, well-written, humorous, mystery story takes place in Toronto among the insolvent upper crust. Miss Mappin has been forced to leave the family mansion in North Toronto for a bungalow in the outskirts of Scarborough, when her brother, the Colonel, fell into a vat of "the best rum" and his distillery on the tropical island of Sao Mineo dissolved. Finally the insurance company, after seven long years, has agreed to pay his sister and only son Rolland. However, another son Luis Fuentes Mappin turned up, disguised as a soldier of fortune and Alien Invader champion. He and Rolland became involved with a strange character, the Bagman, who carried around with him a green garbage bag of illegal money. The Mounties became interested, and Luis and Rolland were chased through Casa Loma and then through downtown Toronto in scenes reminiscent of P.G. Wodehouse.
