Marilyn Hardie and Elaine Mason, music consultants who have worked extensively with elementary school children and teachers, have created a complete music program for classroom use. The teacher's manual, which is included along with the two records, provides lesson outlines that will enable teachers to plan a year's worth of activities around the elements of music for both large and small groups of children. Also included is the music along with lyrics and guitar chords.

The two records contain a total of forty bands of diverse music that includes work by Maurice Sendak, Carole King, Raffi, Debussy, and Bartok along with a Hanukkah song, a song in French, and poetry by Eve Merriam. The recording of the vocal and instrumental tracks are separate. After each band there is a locked groove, and the needle will not move to the next section unless it is moved manually. Most songs are sung by the Music Builders Chorus, a group of children between the ages of nine and twelve. A creative music program with a variety of uses. Highly recommended.
