Volume 11 Number 3. 1983 May. Collingwood's Blue Mountain ski area in southern Ontario provides a picturesque setting for George Swede's fourth adventure in the Sherlock the Bloodhound series. Inspector Holmes of Halifax and his two pets, Sherlock the bloodhound and Watson the cat, arrive in Collingwood for a peaceful winter vacation. They soon discover that crime does not take a holiday as they are quickly involved in solving a mystery. A large sum of money awaiting the arrival of an armoured car has disappeared from the Downhill, a chalet where skiers go to eat and drink. The chalet was crowded at the time, and everyone is under suspicion, but there are no clues. The teamwork of Holmes, Sherlock, and Watson combine to bring a satisfying conclusion to the mystery. The characters of Sherlock and Watson will intrigue children. The plot is fast moving, and the story action packed.
