The author, a practicing teacher of beginning and advanced typing, believes she has devised a unique method for learning to type that can be "learned in ten half-hour lessons."

Her system is based on learning the typewriter keys in relations to one's fingers rather than concentrating on the keyboard itself.

Organized like an 8½ x 11 inch writing tablet, each page may be flipped ahead-to reveal the next segment of instruction or review material. There are three main sections. The first includes an introduction to the method and a progress chart to be completed following each review lesson. The second section comprises ten lessons devoted to building basic typing skills. The third involves more advanced skill practices as well as word processing methods and concludes with a page devoted to resume preparation.

The type is large and clear; the content well-organized. The author has tested her method and provides an easy-to-follow series of exercises suitable for all those students wanting to learn the skills of typing efficiently.
