Volume 11 Number 3.
1983 May.

In an era of "automatic" cameras, "instant" film, and the computerized processing of very large quantities of film, a significant number of amateur photographers wishes to retain total control over lighting, exposure, processing, and printing.

These three, uniform volumes are designed to provide the kind of information that would be useful to an individual whose interest in photography is at least semi-professional. The authors assume that the reader will have well-developed aesthetic senses, knowledge of basic photographic lore, and ownership of, or access to, a well-equipped dark room. The books provide information regarding equipment, processing and printing, control of exposure, natural and artificial lighting, design, composition, and special effects.

All three volumes are readable and the illustrations are, as one would expect, excellent. A public library acquisition.
