Howard Engel is a CBC executive producer and an ex-high school teacher. He has written three mysteries set in Canada and his detective, Benny Cooperman, has won a wide following across the country. The Suicide Murders* and The Ransom Game** have been compared to Ross Macdonald's novels for their complexity and intricate characterization. In Murder on Location, Benny is searching for a missing person in Niagara Falls, where he finds himself involved with the Movie People.
