A delightful little paperback, this is a must for planning sports days, primary or secondary physical education classes, or fun games. On one page appears the Eskimo name of the game with its directions, such as, "Sitturtaq. In a squat position, alternate outstretched legs in rapid progression." On the opposite page are simple line drawings that amplify the instructions. The games range from simple to difficult (touching a suspended fur piece with one hand while balancing the body on the other hand). There are thirty-seven games with thirteen variations in an appendix and a few photos of Eskimo athletes. An interesting addition to the sports section of the school library, especially for grade 4 social studies and elementary physical education.
